Just weeks after she was allegedly headbutted by her husband, Evelyn Lozada has opened up about her divorce from Chad Johnson.
In an interview with ABC's "Nightline" on Friday (August 31), the 36-year-old reality star explained that her choice for leaving was for her own safety, explaining, “It’s the hardest thing in the world to walk away from someone that you really love. But you have to walk away because I have to protect myself.”
Though the former “Basketball Wives” star is upset about the situation, she continued to say, “He’s a good guy that made a bad choice. He loves football and he’s very driven and a great dad. He made a bad choice that destroyed his life, and I hate that I’m connected to that.”
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Chad was arrested back on August 11 after he allegedly headbutted his wife during an altercation when Lozada found a receipt for condoms in her husband’s car.
After the incident, Evelyn was sent to the emergency room and received stitches.
